The Baeksang Arts Prizes, also known as the Paeksang Arts Awards, are a set of awards in South Korea that recognize achievement in cinema, television, and theater. Chang Key-young established the awards for the first time in 1965. It was founded to promote the growth of Korean popular culture and art, as well as to boost the morale of artists. It is considered one of South Korea’s most prestigious entertainment awards.
