World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) produced the event for their Raw, SmackDown, and ECW brand divisions. It was the first WrestleMania to be hosted in the state of Florida, and it took place on March 30, 2008, at the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida.

WrestleMania XXIV was the second WrestleMania to be held outside, with WrestleMania IX taking place in Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.
