Yoon Je-kyoon directed Ode to My Father, a  South Korean drama film. It stars Hwang Jung-min and Yunjin Kim and depicts South Korean history from the 1950s to the present day through the eyes of a common man as he witnesses events such as the Hungnam Evacuation during the Korean War in 1950, the government’s decision to send nurses and miners to West Germany in the 1960s, and the Vietnam War.
