Silenced is a 2011 South Korean drama film starring Gong Yoo and Jung Yu-mi, based on Gong Ji-novel young’s The Crucible. It is based on incidents that occurred in the early 2000s at Gwangju Inhwa School for the Hearing Impaired when young deaf children were repeatedly sexually assaulted by teaching members over a five-year period. It is direct by Hwang Dong-hyuk.
